Hannah Newton BEDS, BFA

Hannah is designer, crafter, and Environmental Design Graduate from Dalhousie University. During her studies she was awarded scholarships for design excellence and exceptional drawing skills in the field of Architecture. Prior to her BEDS degree Hannah pursued Fine Arts at NSCAD University in Halifax, NS where she majored in drawing + textiles. Her interest in lightweight, portable, and off grid structures has led to her ongoing pursuits in architecture. Before joining the Measured team, Hannah worked at The Centre for Cultural Technology in an architectural research lab that investigated fabric formed structures and interactive technologies. Since 2012, Hannah has also spent her summers working in remote bush camps helping to upkeep off grid systems + facilitate camp relocation around Northern Canada. She also owns and operates a small textile business called Willower.
