Measured goes to Court (to tour Robson Square and the Surrounding Civic Complex)

Since 2018, Measured Principal Clinton Cuddington has been a board member of the Arthur Erickson Foundation, committed to building the legacy of the iconic Canadian architect, Arthur Erickson.

On Thursday, June 27, the Foundation will host two events: a tour of Robson Square and the surrounding civic complex, and the annual AGM, to which we invite the public to attend.

The tours will be introduced by cultural historian Donald Luxton, with stationed architectural guides, including esteemed architects James Cheng, Barry Johns and Eva Matsuzaki, all part of the Erickson design team at the time, providing their unique perspectives as to how the building and landscape were designed, including the ingenious “stramps,” the cascading waterfalls, and the grand public spaces.

The AGM will follow, and once business is out of the way, we have the honour to welcome back James, Barry and Eva, as well as world-renowned landscape architect Cornelia Oberlander, for a facilitated discussion of Robson Square and the lasting impact of Arthur Erickson.
