We’re excited to share that construction is almost complete on our first net-zero energy ready building. This modular, high-performance home is approximately 1,700 SF with a 400 SF garage, and is nestled into the northwest-facing slope of Salt Spring Island overlooking Ganges Harbour. The building was pre-fabricated in Revelstoke by Adaptive Homes in less than six months, and then transported to Salt Spring Island, its permanent home. Built to BC’s Energy Step 5 code, the building has the potential to produce as much clean energy as it consumes, with a 0.65 ACH (air changes per hour) rate—slightly above passive house standards.
Final construction and landscaping is slated to be complete by November 2021.
