Why Measured?

Measured is process focused, considering the aspirations of the project within a set of constraints. Various outcomes are possible, allowing the input of information to guide the process and produce unique architecture.

Path to architecture

My father is a carpenter, so I’ve been on site my entire life and had a passion for building. I developed an interest in design while at high school, and pursued architecture in post-secondary through technology, art and environmental design.

I’m drawn to design because

I think it can influence the way we live in a positive way. You can feel the difference good design makes.

Favourite Space

The backcountry of the Rocky Mountains.

Materials that excite me

Wood. Both found and repurposed.

I love working with clients because

Each client has different sites, projects and aspirations, all of which makes the practice of architecture very exciting.

I chose Vancouver because

My wife is doing her Masters in Social Work at UBC. Plus, the intersection of mountains and ocean makes for an amazing place to live.

When I’m not working you can find me

Racing Motocross.
