Team

I chose Vancouver because

Of the ocean and mountains.

I’m inspired by

Nature and light/shadow.

Ball point or felt tip?

Back to school shopping was always my favourite – I loved getting new pens. Rollerball is my go-to.

When I’m not working you can find me

Outside exploring this new city. Or cooking.

At happy hour I order

You can never go wrong with a good glass of wine.

I’m my best self when/at

When near the ocean. Love a good foggy walk on the beach.

I grew up

In a couple of places, but Nova Scotia is home for me.

Why Measured?

I chose Measured for their unique approach to design; each project is seen as an opportunity to try something different. The answer often stems from the site, the client, and curiosity -which I find exciting.

Earliest architectural memory

Helping my Dad build a greenhouse with antique windows.

Favourite space

The coast. The blurred line between land and sea always amazes me.

Materials that excite me

Natural materials – clay, wood, etc. I especially love when evidence of how an object or material was shaped is tangible.

Preferred era in architecture

I love when something arises from place, and fits just so. Vernacular architecture is my favourite – not necessarily an era I suppose.
